WEDDING CAKEs

We do things a bit differently here…

FOR CAKES AND/OR DOUGHNUTS, PLEASE READ THROUGH THIS WHOLE PAGE BEFORE SUBMITTING AN ORDER OR INQUIRY

USE THE ORDER FORM AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE!

COST

All of our cakes are made fresh and to order. We do not offer a full “wedding cake" experience which allows us to keep our costs consistent with our standard whole cake orders. With that said, we put it on you, the couple to know what you want and to provide as much info as possible.

WE DO NOT GIVE QUOTES (ALL PRICING IS LISTED, CALCULATE YOUR COST + TAX)

TASTINGS

We DO NOT do standard tastings, you are more than welcome to try our doughnuts and cake slices at the shop (we highly recommend pre ordering.) In general, you can get a feel of our cakes by trying our weekend slices!

CAKE

Our cake is more American in style as it is oil based, and the filling is more Asian, as it is whipped cream with whatever you'd like to mix in (another flavor or fresh fruit).  We use a Swiss buttercream to frost all of our cakes, it is lighter than American buttercream, but not as light as the whipped cream on Asian style cakes. Please reference our cake guide for flavors, servings, and pricing.

SERVINGS

A standard 6”/8”/10” cake serves 50, we call this a display cake and you can supplement with side cakes; 1/4 sheet cakes with a clean white finish. Side cakes are not presented and will come on a white cardboard board. You can reference the cake ordering guide for serving sizes. From my experience with attending weddings over the years, I suggest getting 20-30% less servings than your actual guest count. This tends to be more accurate with larger parties. It might seem extreme, but at the end of the night for many reasons (busy dancing, being full from dinner, being a bit tipsy, or leaving early). Many guests will not end up eating cake or even knowing that it was served. I like to give this guidance, as to avoid wasting cake and to lower your costs. With that said, you know your guests the best and you are more than welcome to get as much as you feel will be adequate. Our cakes have whipped cream filling which means the shelf life is shorter, and if left out at room temperature all night (especially in the summer) we do not recommend saving it.

10” cake (weddings only) -$95 serves 30

DOUGHNUTS

Our capacity to make bulk orders for weddings is limited to 100 doughnuts. (No exceptions) Minis and holes are a great option for weddings because they are just a few bites! Three holes count as 1 doughnut. Feel free to look back at past flavors on our Instagram to see flavor options, some flavors are seasonal and not always available, feel free to inquire about flavors, we can let you know what is possible.

Doughnut hole flavor options: raspberry, strawberry shortcake, oreo

THINGS TO CONSIDER:

DELIVERY

Delivery is available and costs $50/hr for RT travel from our shop (2301 E Union St) + 1 hour set up. We ask for a designated delivery time (2pm is the latest) and ask that the cake/dessert table be ready to go with linens, any flowers provided by the florist, and the cake stand by the time of delivery.  Once we arrive, we will stack the cake on the platter and finish it with any décor needed.  We recommend having the cake delivered before any guests arrive. The cake does not need to be refrigerated if it will be in a cool room.  It cannot sit in direct sunlight.  If you feel as though it will be in warmer conditions, please have plans to keep it in a refrigerator until closer to serving/cake cutting. Each tier is approx. 4” tall, add up your tiers and cake stand height to know how much room you will need in the fridge.

FERRY TRAVEL – due to the unpredictability with ferry lines and travel time we do not offer delivery to locations that require ferry travel, pick ups only

CAKE SIZE – three tier cakes require delivery as they need to be assembled on site

PICK UP

Pick ups are limited to single or two tier cakes.  Three tier cakes require delivery as they are not stable for travel and need to be assembled on site.  We ask you bring a platter or stand at least a week before your pick up date so we can have the cake ready to go for you.  Label the stand with your name and wedding date. You are welcome to have others pick up your cake, we would need to know the name and contact info of that person. (just incase we need to get a hold of them the day of) Based on your order, please make sure their vehicle has a flat surface for the cake and/or doughnuts, seats are not ideal for travel as they are slanted.

NOTE TO THE PERSON PICKING UP:  This is an important job and we need your help to make sure the cake arrives intact. We will package the cake for delivery, please place it on a flat surface (ideally on the front passenger seat floor.) If it is in the trunk, you want to make sure it will not slide around, have anything fall on it, or have direct sunlight hitting it.  If traveling a long distance, dress warm and run AC towards the feet or throughout the car to keep the cake cold. Drive defensively, as you want to avoid sudden jerks, hard breaks, or hard turns.

PLATTER

For wedding cakes, we ask that a platter be provided, for deliveries you can leave it on site. For pick ups, we ask you bring it to the shop at least one week prior to pick up. (It must be labeled with you name and wedding date.) PLEASE BE SURE THE PLATTER IS STABLE to ensure safe travels. The platter needs to be 2 inches larger than the diameter of the largest tier and flat. (i.e. a 8” cake needs a platter/stand that is 10” in diameter or larger and FLAT)

DÉCOR

We use swiss buttercream to decorate our cakes.  We try our best to work with couples to get the look they want for their wedding by asking you send sample photos of your dream cake.  After that, we can let you know what we can offer and if there will be any additional labor charges.

FLOWERS

You can add fresh flower décor to your cake.  For delivery, we recommend having you ask your florist to set aside some flowers for the cake and we can place them free of charge.  For pick up, you can choose to bring in your own or have us source the flowers for a $30 charge.  If we provide the flowers, we cannot guarantee specific flowers but will do our best to match the colors/vibe of the examples given.

BOOKING

We only book 6 months out. You are more than welcome to inquire ahead of time and ask questions but we will only lock in your order date within 6 months. Some dates do book out so make sure you submit your order right at 6 months to ensure we have the availability. Include as much information as possible on our form and I will work with you to fill in the gaps! You will be able to send photos for cake inspiration after I respond!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST… PAYMENT

We don’t require down payments and will invoice you via email the week of! We allow cancelations/changes to your order up to one week prior to the date and will issue a full refund.  Any changes made after that will be subject to a 50% charge of the original order.
